The community of Ss. Peter & Paul the Apostles was established in January, 1987. Since then, we have grown from 689 families to over 2800 families and this remarkable growth shows no signs of letting up any time soon.
Ours is a vibrant, Spirit-filled parish with activities for all ages, from the littlest of children to those most advanced in years. Our youth programs are alive and well and getting better all the time. Our liturgies reflect the deep faith of our people; they embrace the Spirit of the liturgical renewal of Vatican II, while at the same time celebrating the rich tradition of Catholic liturgy throughout the centuries. So many people have volunteered their time, talent and treasure that our parish has become a place where anyone can feel at home and able to praise God as part of the Catholic community of believers. Many come to us to ask entrance into the Church.
How do we keep up with all this? Sometimes it's not easy, but we are making every effort to keep that feeling of being a " small family parish" intact even as we grow into the third millenium. We have now taken our parish into cyberspace, so that we can stay in communication with parishioners on the Internet, those who are travelling to Southwest Florida from other parts of the country and those from our parish who travel to other parts of the country, during different times of the year.
So in the name of the entire parish staff, I welcome you to this latest venture of our parish of Ss. Peter & Paul, and hope that this "Web Site" will be of great interest to, and usefulness by, all of our parishioners and friends.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Rev. Monsignor Edward D. Moretti, V.G., P.A.
