Dear Parishioners of Ss. Peter and Paul,
I am pleased to be the new pastor of our parish. I am grateful to Bishop Dewane for the trust he has shown in my abilities to lead this par-ish.
I have a long tradition in Bradenton, with my family moving here when I was one year of age. I lived in the same family home until I left for the college seminary. My parents, Calvin and Elvera, who have both been called home to God, owned The College Inn Restaurant in Bradenton for twenty years. Many of you might have known them as they had been very active in a variety of projects at St. Joseph’s Church.
I will continue to share my journey with you in the weeks to come. I ask your pardon for my absence over the next two weekends as I have some unfinished business at my former parish.
I will celebrate some Masses during the week, and my first Sunday Mass on October 24.
The last important fact you might like to know, is that I have a four-legged companion, Miss Dixie, a rescue “Doxin”. I am sure she will greet you from time to time.
