Our CWA motto is "Faith, Fellowship & Service."
We seek to learn more about our beautiful Catholic Faith, with inspirational programs throughout each year, and with a Women’s Day-Long Retreat every other year.
We seek Fellowship by working alongside each other and getting to know each other through our entertaining and friendly meetings and many projects. Wonderful friendships have developed over the years through CWA.
We provide Service in many ways, including receptions, special events, flower planting and bereavement luncheons. We provide financial support to many organizations and endeavors, including: SOLVE Maternity Homes, Feeding Empty Little Tummies (FELT), the St. Vincent DePaul Society, our parish religious education department, the St. Joseph Food Pantry, a Christmas Giving Tree for families, a luncheon for parish high school seniors, St. Joseph School, Knights of Columbus golf, Ss Peter and Paul Communion Class Gifts and Ss Peter and Paul Confirmation Class Gifts.
We have monthly meetings which are a combination of fun and learning, beginning with refreshments and social time, with the opportunity to meet new friends, followed by a general business meeting and a speaker or activity to inspire us to live for Christ.
CWA encourages all women in the parish to join. Membership dues are $20 for the current CWA calendar year. We make special arrangements for a partial year and financial hardships. Dues are used to fund projects throughout the year. Come join us to eat, laugh, and learn. We’re sisters in Christ. Meetings are regularly on the first Thursday of the month, 3:00–4:30 pm in the Msgr. Moretti Center. If there is a conflict with a Holy Day or event, the second Thursday is chosen. COMMITTEES, CHAIRPERSONS (2024-25) and DESCRIPTIONS
COMMUNICATIONS – Maria Vitola
The Communications Committee maintains a current email list of members and distributes CWA information.
FUNERAL RECEPTIONS – Judy Scott
The Funeral Receptions Committee, at the request of the grieving family, assists with a brunch, luncheon, or reception after the Memorial Service or Funeral Mass.
HOSPITALITY – Pat Quinlan
The Hospitality Committee ensures that tables are set and refreshments are available for each monthly meeting.
MEMBERSHIP – Kerry Minar
The Membership Committee keeps CWA member data current and provides greeters and name tags for each monthly meeting.
PUBLICITY – Sherree Parker
The Publicity Committee prepares the parish bulletin and other publications needed for CWA activities.
SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR - Diane Clark
The Special Events Committee arranges events and volunteers for the CWA and Parish as requested.
